L2 Chronos Test X5 Classic is a fresh take on the classic server format, built for players who crave genuine old-school gameplay. This isn't just another High Five server — it's our vision of what High Five should feel like today.
We've preserved everything fans love about this era: the familiar character progression path, the value of hard-earned items, subclasses and Noblesse, crafting and spoil, a living economy, the grind for gear, epic bosses, castle sieges, and the Olympiad. A select set of mechanics received focused improvements to make the experience more comfortable and engaging — without disturbing the core foundations.

Shoulders — custom shoulder pieces for B, A, S, and S80-Grade gear are no longer available
Extra drop in SoA, LoA, and Dragon Valley — all custom drops, including enchant scrolls, have been removed
Custom shops that simplified farming — shops selling recipe/item pieces for A-grade have been removed, and Dynasty shops now only sell recipes, not gear pieces, as originally intended
Upgraded Clan Halls — custom clan halls will not be available on L2 Chronos Test X5 Classic; standard clan halls can only be acquired through the Auction
The Buffer in Alt+B
The buffer is found in ALT+B → "Buffer." It only functions in a peace zone and outside of combat — buffing during PvP is not possible.
Available from level 20 to 85, though the full list doesn't open all at once — skills appear at roughly the same levels as they do for the classes that normally cast them. Dance of Fury, for instance, only becomes available at level 58 — matching the actual Bladedancer.
Resists, reflects, and nearly all third-profession skills are absent from the buffer. The sole exception is Chant of Victory.

Mana Refresh – A buff available from level 20 in the buffer that grants one hour of enhanced passive mana regeneration at 5 / 10 / 15 / 20.
Also applies a 10% Clarity bonus for physical skills.
Beyond the flat regen bonus, it adds MP recovery as a percentage of Max MP, noticeably improving comfort in the later chapters — the percentage benefit activates at the buff's highest tiers.
It also reduces both incoming and outgoing Mana Recharge by 90%.
Mana Refresh's standout efficiency shapes a distinct experience for solo adventurers, letting them follow classic RPG principles and manage resources thoughtfully. Players who rely on mana-feeding won't gain a double advantage, since they already skip this buff due to the mana-feed penalty — a fair setup that keeps all playstyles on even footing.
Vitamin Pets
Vitamin pets are one-of-a-kind companions that grow alongside your character, available for purchase via ALT+B. Every pet brings its own set of unique skills tailored to different playstyles, so you can choose whichever companion best matches your preferred way to play and farm.

Agathion companions on L2 Chronos Test Classic x5
Pet summoning becomes available at level 40; summoner-pet buffs unlock at the same level as for Elemental Summoner / Warlock. You cannot summon a vitamin pet and a vitamin agathion simultaneously, though summoning a vitamin agathion alongside your standard summon is now supported (except for Phoenix Paladin).
Agathion | Type | Skills |

Nymph / Ignis / Bloody Queen | Magic support |

Archangel / Petram / Antharas Knight | Warrior support |

Gear Score System
A new system for evaluating character equipment has been introduced. It rates all items starting from No Grade — regular items only, with no time-limited gear included.

Gear Score System
How Gear Score Works
Every item carries a base GS value, plus additional bonuses for the following:
Enchant level: each enchant raises the final GS by a set percentage. For instance, B-Grade weapons add +7% per enchant, while MID S84-grade weapons add +14%.
Number of ATT crystals slotted: a fixed bonus applied to total GS. For armor this ranges from +10 to +60, for weapons from +30 to +150, depending on how many ATT crystals are inserted.
PvP insert: +10 for weapons, +5 for armor. (Applied as base GS before other bonuses.)
Rare (RAR) insert: +5 for both weapons and armor. (Applied as base GS.)
Shoulders: +2 for the first Dino shoulder piece, +4 for the second, +8 for the third. (Applied as base GS.)
SA on weapon: +10. (Applied as base GS.)
Life Stone active/passive skills: from +5 to +200 depending on the Life Stone (Duel Might, for example, contributes far more GS than Kiss of Eva), with the largest gain coming from a double Life Stone setup (e.g., Duel Might + STR+1). In C/B/A-Grade weapons, Life Stones yield less GS than in S+ Grade.
Use the .gs command to display your Gear Score in general or party chat.

Class Balance
Bards — Sword Singer / Bladedancer
Deadly Smash: A powerful strike against surrounding enemies, dealing an extra 2192 damage. Reduces P. Def. by 17% and M. Def. by 17%. Overhit possible. Duration 9 sec. Active in the Olympiad.
Dual Dagger Mastery: Learnable by Spectral Dancer and Sword Muse at level 40.
Song of Spirit [from lvl 83]: Raises PvE damage dealt by 10%, Atk. Spd. by 8%, Casting Spd. by 8%, Speed by 8. Lowers PvE damage received by 10%, all skill cooldowns by 5%. Inactive in the Olympiad.
Every bard now has a set of "paired skills" — a Dance + Song symbiosis. This eliminates the endless search for a missing bard and lets you bring another DD instead, adding variety and tactical flexibility in combat:
Critical Symphony [from lvl 40]: a symbiosis of Song of Hunter and Dance of Fire.
Concentration Symphony [2 lvls: 43 and 52]: a symbiosis of Song of Warding, Dance of Concentration + Dance of Mystic.
Wind Symphony [from lvl 46]: a symbiosis of Song of Wind and Dance of Inspiration.
Warrior Symphony [from lvl 55]: a symbiosis of Song of Earth and Dance of Warrior.
Fury Symphony [updated] [2 lvls: 49 and 58]: a symbiosis of Song of Water and Dance of Fury (now split into 2 levels, with 7% Atk. Spd. already available from level 49).
Vitality Symphony [from lvl 66]: a symbiosis of Song of Vitality and Dance of Vampire.
Meditation Symphony [from lvl 77]: a symbiosis of Song of Meditation and Song of Renewal.
Siren Symphony [from lvl 78]: a symbiosis of Song of Champion and Dance of Siren.
The "double weight" that gave these symphonies an advantage when cancelling has been removed.
These skills cannot be used in the Olympiad.
They replace standard Dances and Songs and take top priority.
Once they expire, the buffer's regular dances and songs resume.
Duration: 5 minutes.
They are cancelled following the standard Dance/Song rules, via Symbol of Noise.
Healers — Bishop / Eva's Elder / Shillien Elder
Might of Heaven (All): Calls down divine wrath upon enemies, dealing holy damage. Has no effect on players.
Prophecy of Water (EE): Invokes the Great Spirit to grant the party Max HP +20%, magic critical chance +2, MP recovery +20%, P. Atk. +10%, P. Def. +20%, Atk. Spd. +20%, M. Atk. +20%, M. Def. +20%, Casting Spd. +20%, and resistance to negative effects +10%. Also reduces Speed by 20% and MP consumption by 5%. Consumes 10 Spirit Ore. Duration: 5 min. Inactive in the Olympiad.

Appetite Destruction: Available from level 52. Awakens the party's destructive instincts, granting P. Atk. +25%, Critical Rate +25%, and Critical Power +25%. Duration: 15 sec. The maximum critical multiplier is capped at x30.

A complete list of changes with values for each skill is available at the link: Click here
Weapons, SA, RAR Sets: A Major Equipment Overhaul
Rare weapons of nearly all types have been reworked — from swords and bows to fists and dual daggers. Outdated SAs have been replaced with more relevant ones, and the RAR components of Vesper and Moirai have been strengthened. New low-grade dual daggers available from level 40 for several classes have been added. Additionally, assembly requirements for certain sets have been adjusted and material consumption for a number of weapons has been reduced.

World Trade
World Trade is a fully featured system that opens new avenues for trading items and currency within a single server. Unlike traditional in-game item exchange, World Trade allows players to freely buy and sell goods from anywhere in the world.
How does World Trade work?
To open the World Trade window, click the dedicated icon above your character's function panel.

Making a Purchase
Making a Purchase
Open the World Trade window.
Type the item's name (multiple words separated by spaces are supported).
Select the right listing → set the quantity → confirm the purchase.
On a successful purchase, the item appears in your inventory and the seller receives a mail containing the adena.
Before buying, ensure that:
your inventory weight is below 80%;
you have at least 3 free inventory slots.

Making a Sale
Making a Sale
Open My Items → Register Item for Sale.
Drag the item into the slot, set a price per unit and a quantity. Maximum listings allowed — 15.
Confirm the registration — a commission fee will be deducted.
The listing remains visible in the general list for 14 days.
When an item sells, the proceeds are delivered to the character's mail and held there for 14 days. If unclaimed within that period, the funds are transferred to the character's warehouse.

My Listings (settlements)
My Listings (settlements)
This section displays active listings only.
You can remove a listing here — it goes straight back to your inventory.
Listings that expire due to time are returned to you via in-game mail.

When is trading disabled?
When is trading disabled?
Trading will be unavailable if your character:
Is inside an Instance
Is participating in the Olympiad
Has a private store or workshop window open
Is engaged with another character (duel, trade, etc.)
Revised Subclass System
Subclass restrictions have been lifted entirely. Any character can pick any subclass, including Warsmith and Overlord — Dark Elves can take Light-race subclasses and vice versa. Tanks may choose other tank subclasses. The only exception is the Kamael race, which is limited to subclasses within its own race.
Earning subclass skills is now far simpler: every player who reaches the 3rd profession automatically receives all the certification books required for that class. Each book is clickable and opens the skill-learning window immediately — no trip to the Ivory Tower needed.

A dwarf rocking a necromancer subclass — now that's a look!
Champions
Scattered among regular monsters you'll find champions — enhanced versions in three tiers: Blue (tier 1), Red (tier 2), and Gold (tier 3). Each tier hits harder — and pays out better.
Stat | Blue Champion (tier 1) | Red Champion (tier 2) | Gold Champion (tier 3) |
|---|---|---|---|
HP | x5 | x20 | x50 |
MP | x10 | x50 | x50 |
P. Atk. | +25% | +75% | +300% |
M. Atk. | +40% | +100% | +300% |
EXP | x15 | x75 | x90 |
Drop / Adena | x10 | x50 | x65 |
Blue and Red champions appear up to level 86; Gold — up to level 75.
All champions now carry full debuff resistances, so taking them on demands real attention to debuff mechanics no matter which tier you encounter.
The Emperor is a one-of-a-kind elite monster — essentially a mini raid boss. Extremely powerful but highly rewarding, easy to spot by its golden beam. It lives for 5 minutes, is always aggressive, and attacks everyone in range.

Gold Champion
Skills:
Reborn — infects all nearby monsters; each infected monster spawns 3 copies of itself upon death.
Power Curse — infects all nearby monsters, significantly boosting their stats and Drop/Exp/Spoil rates.
Reproduction — spawns 1 to 4 copies of every creature in range; the copies are not champions.
Sacrifice — forces every monster within a 2000-range radius to target a chosen character.
Champions Fall — converts every nearby monster into a Blue Champion for 5 minutes.
Instances
Abyss Labyrinth — entry was previously tied to set days of the week; it now follows the same daily-reset model as Kamaloka's Hall of the Abyss. Guaranteed boss drops have been removed.
Freya and Blessed Freya — share a single cooldown: entering either one puts both on cooldown. M. Def. raised to 320, all skill radii increased to 3000, skills affect characters on both the 1st and 2nd floors, and any player who has been dead for 15 seconds is automatically teleported out.
Hall of Illusions — completing it no longer uses up Dimension Fragments.
Chests
The classic key-locked chests have been replaced with upgraded Treasure Chests. No key required, clearly sorted by Grade, and featuring a fully refreshed reward pool.
X5 activates chest respawns for every grade simultaneously — from standard C-Grade right up to top-tier S84. Chests are placed at classic farming zones and respawn randomly, one per spot.

Grades and locations

Divisions
In short: divisions are how you earn epic jewelry on L2 Chronos Test. Clans are ranked into divisions by strength — top clans face top clans, mid-tier clans face mid-tier clans, and even smaller clans get dedicated content rather than just spectating at a boss's lair.
The key difference from a classic epic-boss race: the reward isn't reserved for whoever lands the killing blow. Clans earn essences for taking part — a currency spent in the Division shop. The system tracks each clan's contribution (PvP and boss damage), and within a clan, essences are distributed automatically based on class, Gear Score, damage dealt, and PvP activity.
How it works on X5. At launch, only Big War is open — a division where every clan starts in the same pool. Mid War and Low War will be added later, once the server's initial factions have formed and the true balance of power becomes clear.
Division | Limit |
|---|---|
Big War | 99 players — 11 full parties |
Mid War | 72 players — 8 full parties |
Low War | 36 players — 4 full parties |
Divisions are isolated zones — entry is blocked once the limit is reached.
Rewards. In Big War, clans earn essences plus the boss's primary drop for contributing to the kill. If a clan claims the drop, the corresponding share of essences is deducted from the shared pool — the winner doesn't receive both the full drop and the maximum shop reward simultaneously. A choice must be made.
One type of essence goes toward epic jewelry; the other toward gear and consumables.
Sieges, Castles, and Territory Wars
A siege is the server's flagship clan event: once a week, clans assault the castles, and the victor earns not just stat bonuses but also territorial taxes and a cut of the global treasury — more details below.
Every siege participant automatically receives Mercenary quests:
Quest | Condition | Reward |
|---|---|---|
Battlefield | Defeat 10 unique characters in the siege zone of any castle | 24 Territory Badge |
Brutal Battlefield | Defeat 20 unique characters in the siege zone of any castle | 24 Territory Badge |
Registering for a siege enrolls your clan in every castle at once — you can switch targets mid-siege, starting at one gate and finishing at another.
A castle's flag grants stat bonuses and is bound to its own castle — you cannot steal and carry off another clan's flag:
Castle | Bonus |
|---|---|
Aden | STR +1, DEX +1, CON +1, INT +1, WIT +1, MEN +1 |
Rune | STR +1, DEX +1, CON +1, WIT +1 |
Schuttgart | STR +1, WIT +1, MEN +1 |
Goddart | STR +1, WIT +1, MEN +1 |
Dion | STR +1, INT +1 |
Giran | DEX +1, WIT +1 |
Oren | CON +1, INT +1 |
Gludio | DEX +1, INT +1 |
Heine | STR +1, MEN +1 |
Sieges include a set of reworked skills: two upgrade tiers for Build Headquarters, and the Summon Swoon Cannon siege weapon, tuned to the server's stats.
Olympiad

A standout arena record on L2 Chronos Test.
Ranked Olympiad runs twice a week — Friday and Saturday. Classic matches have a pool of 70 fights per period.
At the start, characters are divided into three brackets by point total:
Bracket | Points |
|---|---|
First | 0–45 |
Second | 46–149 |
